Richard Varner of Champions Moto and Pete Chapouris of So-Cal Speed Shop

Richard Varner is a motorcycle collector and restorer and has founded Champions Moto, which builds vintage-styled race bikes and clothing. Pete Chapouris is a famous hot rodder and designer, who works for So-Cal Speed Shop. Richard and Pete bring us two of their vintage-inspired bikes and a hot rod Chapouris built in 1987. We also get to eyeball and throw some revs into a 2013 Roush Stage 3 Mustang, which makes a whopping 565 horsepower.

Magnatude

We have at Carolla One Studios Jerry Magnuson’s award winning a 1932 Muroc roadster, the Magnatude. This car has a Marcel body, with finishing touches by Chip Foose. It features a Magnacharged Chevrolet LS1, 6 Speed gearbox and a polished Kugel independent rear end. Jerry Magnuson did a bunch of the work as well, including the hidden headlights as well as many other details on the build.

1931 Ford Coupe

This weeks featured car is Rudi Hillebrand’s award winning 1931 Ford Coupe. Rudi took a basket case car and built it into a excellent example of how to build a period correct Hot Rod.
