Great show! It was one of the best yet. When you guys got chatting about the current car styles, it got me thinking. Then I read (http://mustangs.about.com/b/2009/09/02/mustang-smokes-the-competition.htm) an article on the 2010 Mustang and thought that it would be cool to hear your views. Can you add a segment about current cars/trucks and their styles and performance. Maybe do a show on just that topic once in a while. I think it would be cool to hear your opinions on current styles and ideas floating around in the market today.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

    Hey Adam and The Weez,

Funny that you were talking about the Jag hood vents because I love the ‘Investment Section’ and I’ve been itching to get this in here. A future collectible/sleeper is the 2003-2006 Jaguar XK8/XKR HARDTOP. Why the hardtop? Over 85% of the XK’s produced were convertibles, they were built on the DB7 platform and the hardtops were very slick with the fastback style. Why 2003-2006? They switched from the 4.0L to the 4.2L V8, bumping the XKR bHP from 370 to 390.

Depending on the trim/performance they are available for about $35k-$50k (hardtop) and will just keep getting cheaper in the next 3-5 years. However, like I said before, about 85% of XK’s were convertibles, and will get traded around and junked, that is why the hardtop (with far superior styling) will be very collectible in the not so distant future. Not to mention that they are insanely fun cars to drive. Jags have suspension like clouds, and if you throw in 390 b-horsepower it makes for a truly enjoyable driving experience.

PS Minus the transmission, this is one of the few cars that Ford didn’t get too many sticky fingers into during its ownership.

You seem confused about what “collectable” means. Most if not all “collectors” prefer the value of their “collectables” to GAIN in value, not “keep getting cheaper in the next 3-5 years”.

      Just a thought.

Every segment has Quick links to navigate to each segment. The Podcasts and each segments are ordered by date, newest first. The current set of segments for the podcast are all in the scrolling display. The podcasts does not alway follow videos so they are in different sections since the podcast is not the only souce of content.

People find it difficult to navigate in your site because you are having usability problems. 1st step: make the links a different color than the body text to make it easier to tell what is a link what is plain text.

Thanks for that helpful tip. Anything in BLUE will be a link now. Not the most pleasing but should be helpful for those that need it.

Was OK most of the day, I’ll have a peek at the logs as well. Might have been the standard “Internet is Broken” thing. Looks good now.

    Thanks for the heads up.
